Material
As already mentioned, at Palamo you have a wide choice of different types of corrugated cardboard. These materials, known as "flute", not only have different properties in terms of load-bearing capacity. The thicker a corrugated board is, the more uneven its surface becomes.
This has an effect on printability. Uneven surfaces cannot be printed as well as smooth surfaces.
For packaging that has to transport particularly heavy goods, but also has to be printed in a sophisticated way, we offer double-wall cartons. Here, a larger flute is used as the inner wall. This is glued via an intermediate web to a finer flute as the outer wall. This, in turn, can be printed very well, resulting in a versatile combination solution.

Hinged cover box
As already mentioned, the special feature of our hinged lid box is the hinged lid. This results in several advantages at once: Your customer does not need scissors or other tools to open the box. He can simply open it. This makes handling easier. In addition, this shipping carton can be printed over the entire surface. This also applies to the inside of the lid.
This way you can surprise your customer with greeting messages when opening the lid or design the lid according to your CI specifications to intensify the brand experience.

Shipping box with automatic bottom and adhesive tape
This carton has two features at once, which have special advantages especially in e-commerce. The first feature is the bottom. This is glued and automatically straightens up when the carton is opened. This makes for easier handling, but also increases the load-bearing capacity. The second advantage of this type of packaging is the adhesive strip.
When closing, the lid is glued to the carton, so no parcel tape is needed. Your customer only has to tear the carton open along the pre-cut line to get to their goods. This ensures that the carton is not damaged. This in turn is of great importance should your customer return the product. Only in an undamaged shipping carton will the return arrive safely back at your premises and can be refurbished and resold without much effort.

Folding boxes
This type is the classic among shipping packages. Due to its great popularity, it is available in many different versions, namely with tuck-in flap (with offset or opposite flaps), with automatic bottom or with tuck-in bottom. As an extension, we also offer Slipcases or inlays with which you can usefully expand your folding box.
The stuff that shipping packaging is made of
We use sturdy corrugated cardboard for your shipping boxes, which we use in three versions for production. They all have the same structure: a corrugated cardboard sheet is glued between two smooth outer sheets. This creates an air cushion that leads to high stability - despite the low weight.

E-flute
This type of corrugated board belongs to the category of fine flute. It is already very stable, but the main advantage lies in the nature of the surface. Since the flutes are not very high and their distance from each other is also quite small, the E-flute has a very smooth surface, which can be printed very well, so that your advertising messages and CI elements can be reproduced faithfully.

B-flute
This category can also be printed well, but due to the greater wave height and the wider spacing, the surface is no longer quite as flat. On the other hand, it has a higher load-bearing capacity.

EB-flute
This double wall board combines the properties of E- and B-flute. The more robust B-flute is used as the inner web, while the easily printable E-flute is used as the outer web. Both flutes are glued together with a smooth inner web and are thus inseparable. This results in a corrugated board that has a high load-bearing capacity but can still be printed perfectly.

varnish
This is a print varnish that is applied to the cardboard. It is available in matt or gloss. It protects the shipping box from scratches and makes it more resistant and robust overall. The print varnish also enhances the printed image. Colours shine even brighter and details come into their own even better.
Protective laminate
Here, the cardboard is covered with a protective film. Compared to varnish , this lamination offers a little more protection because it is permanently bonded to the carton. This makes the shipping carton, compared to the treatment with a varnish, even more resistant. Perfect for all industries where the requirements are a bit tougher.
